San Bernardino teens charged with murder in beating death of senior

SAN BERNARDINO - Murder charges were filed Tuesday against two San Bernardino teens held in connection with the fatal beating of an 87-year-old woman in her mobile home.
Mike "Junior" Garcia and Cesar Pulido, both 16, already had been charged with six felonies ranging from robbery to assault with a deadly weapon and elder abuse.
When Storma Del' Andrae died Friday as a result of injuries she sustained in the Feb. 12 attack at Fiesta Hills Senior Mobile Home Park on Highland Avenue, prosecutors amended the first charge on their criminal complaints from attempted murder to murder.
San Bernardino County Deputy District Attorney Tristan Svare said he would like to have the defendants brought to court this week for arraignment, but added that the court will set the next hearing.
Garcia, Pulido and Soto previously were scheduled to appear March 26.
