The Area Agency on Aging serving Napa and Solano counties is holding a free series of elder abuse prevention workshops to help seniors, their families and their caregivers.
Workshops will help participants identify, prevent and address different forms of elder abuse, such as physical, isolational, psychological, emotional and financial abuse.
Panelists will include representatives from Adult Protective Services, Long-term Care Ombudsman, the Solano Financial Abuse Specialist Team (FAST,) local law enforcement and the public guardians office.
Workshops will be held at the following times and sites: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 12, Napa Senior Center Annex, 1500 Jefferson St., Napa; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18, Florence Douglas Senior Center, 333 Amador St., Vallejo; and 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 19, Merrill Gardens, 799 Yellowstone Drive, Vacaville.
