Hall was taken into custody Tuesday, June 16, after local authorities received an anonymous tip from the Senior Citizen Abuse Hotline that Hall was neglecting the physical health of an elderly woman.
According to the incident report from Marshall Police Department, the woman was admitted to Fitzgibbon Hospital Tuesday evening with "severe and life threatening bed sores all over her body."
The report says hospital personnel confirmed the severity of her situation, indicating that "if (she) made it through surgery she would need a lifetime of medical care to the wounds." The report also said Hall told authorities the woman had been "unable to speak or move for the last three months."
If convicted of the charges against him, Hall could face a sentence of from five to 15 years in Missouri Department of Corrections. A date for a court appearance has not been established.
Charges contained in reports provided by law enforcement officials are not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting charges must be presented before a jury, whose duty is to determine if the accused is guilty or not guilty of the charges.
