No-contest plea in elder abuse

A reputed cross-dressing caregiver who reportedly bilked an elderly Vacaville woman out of thousands of dollars has pleaded no contest in Solano County Superior Court to one felony count of financial elder abuse.
Defendant Penina Tawake, 31, of Vacaville, made his no-contest plea Tuesday morning in the Fairfield courtroom of Superior Court Judge William C. Harrison, who accepted the plea and set 9 a.m. April 29 for judgment and sentencing in the case.
