Vince and Patricia Amy of Tequesta agree that the upcoming Senior Academy, hosted by the Tequesta Police Department is a good idea.
"You think you know how to protect yourself, but you really don't know the ins and outs until someone like a police officer talks with you," said Vince Amy. "We're older and I think more vulnerable. And this area isn't like it used to be, so you have to be more aware of what is going on."
His wife said she thinks the series of classes is a great idea for senior citizens.
