A health care worker at a small Santa Rosa assisted-living facility pleaded no contest in Sonoma County Superior Court Thursday morning to raping and abusing an elderly female resident.
Humberto Carrizales Rodriguez, 50, faces between four and nine years in prison when he is sentenced Nov. 17 by Judge Arthur Wick.
Rodriguez pleaded no contest to forcible rape and elder abuse, and admitted enhancements alleging he knew that the victim, who will turn 89 on Friday, was an elder adult with a disability or other physical or mental condition. His preliminary hearing had been scheduled for Thursday morning.
