Two busted after stealing $140K from 96-year-old

Two northwest suburban residents have been charged with the financial exploitation of a 96-year-old, after it was discovered that they had allegedly taken approximately $140,000 from the victim’s bank account.
The investigation began in July when a 96-year-old resident of McHenry County was transported to a local hospital, a release from Mchenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren’s office said.
