A "predatory and controlling" mental health nurse found to have groped patients and a carer in Northampton has been ordered to be struck off by a disciplinary panel.
David Ajayi, who was accused of a string of charges from February 2006 to April 2008 when he worked at the Westwood Lodge home, was found guilty of misconduct.
A panel of the Nursing and Midwifery Council in London cleared him of some allegations but found others proved and ruled that his fitness to practise was impaired.
It found that he failed to maintain professional boundaries with a woman known only as Resident A, in that he touched and kissed her breasts and put his fingers into her vagina.
He was also found to have entered, without a chaperone, a shower where Resident C was washing, and assisted with the shower, and to have touched the breasts of a woman known only as Carer A.
Mr Ajayi denied allegations during the hearing that he had groped patients, saying they were "fabricated" and had made him weep when he read them.
Chairman Jim Spencer said: "The sexual misconduct was particularly serious, it involved several victims, some of whom were vulnerable patients under his care, and continued over a prolonged period. There's evidence of a pattern of controlling and predatory behaviour."
Mr Spencer said there was a real risk that Mr Ajayi's misconduct could be repeated. "There is a real current need for public protection in this case," he added.
"A number of the allegations, especially those of a sexual nature, were not isolated incidents," he said.
"He has shown a complete lack of insight into how to care for a vulnerable patient, and has not expressed any regret or apology. There are serious attitudinal problems in this case."
