Southfield to host senior safety seminar May 15
The City of Southfield Commission on Senior Adults (COSA) will host a senior safety seminar on elder abuse and neglect on Thursday, May 15 from 12 noon – 1:30 p.m. inside the Southfield Library Meeting Room, 26300 Evergreen Road south of 11 Mile Road.
The seminar will consist of a lecture and question-and-answer forum conducted by Betsy Jackson of Citizens for Better Care and Amy Mills of the Area Agency on Aging 1B. It will cover several areas of abuse and neglect including physical, sexual and financial along with abandonment and self neglect.
Admission is free and refreshments will be served. The Commission on Senior Adults (COSA) is an official city of Southfield commission dedicated to the needs, concerns and challenges of senior adults living in Southfield. The Commission serves as an educational link to services and resources designed to support the Southfield senior community.
