Woman arrested on suspicion of financial elder abuse of Sun City resident

A 60-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of financial elder abuse in Palm Desert, authorities said Wednesday.
Daisy Lee Joubert was arrested for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars via check fraud and forgery while providing 24-hour home care at an elderly victim's residence, said Sgt. John Crounse of the Indio Sheriff's Station.
The crimes occurred at a residence in the 78000 block of Sterling Lane in Palm Desert, Crounse said.
The residence is located at Sun City Palm Desert.
