Elderly Pensioner Banned From Wife's Nursing Home (UK)

Pensioner, 90, banned from wife's nursing home after 'falling on' carer who claimed it was assault

A 90-year-old man who has not spent a day apart from his wife of 63 years has been banned from visiting her nursing home after he allegedly assaulted a carer.

Arthritis sufferer Dennis Woodward insisted that he accidentally fell on the woman nurse after his knee buckled while getting up from a chair beside his wife Hiltje’s bed.

However, the elderly pensioner was then marched off the premises by staff who called the police after claiming he had grabbed the worker by the throat and dragged her along the room, causing neck injuries.
