Senior citizens without hot water for three weeks

Family members of an elderly woman are steamed that Rocanville seniors who rent apartments in a building owned by Saskatchewan Housing Corp. were without hot water for weeks.
Jocelyn Reid's 86-year-old mother, Grace Reid, rents a suite at Prairie View Lodge in Rocanville.
In a phone interview earlier this week, Jocelyn said the seniors were without hot water when the building's aged boiler system packed it in three weeks ago.
"They have been heating water on the stove," Jocelyn said. "There are 31 residents and many are over 90 years old."
The caretaker installed a domestic water heater, but it wasn't large enough to provide hot water for all the seniors.
