A Clearlake woman convicted of elder abuse will spend nearly 11 years in prison, a Colusa judge has ruled.

Linda Suzan Holloway was sentenced Wednesday in Colusa Superior Court, almost exactly 3 years after 76-year-old William Lowe was found dead in his Colusa home.

Lowe's family read several statements in court Wednesday prior to sentencing, each requesting Holloway be given the maximum sentence of 13 years.

Two pathologists reviewed autopsy evidence, both concluding the cause of death to be a heart attack. However, the second review also found the heart attack to be caused by blunt force trauma, caused by a physical attack. Both pathologists found Lowe's injuries to be suspicious, officials said.
