Presentation will focus on elder abuse

GUELPH
An area organization fighting elder abuse is making a public presentation on the phenomenon June 15, for World Abuse Awareness Day.
The presentation by the Seniors At Risk Response Network of Guelph/Wellington is slated for 10 a.m. at Guelph City Hall. It will highlight projects by University of Guelph students to raise awareness about what it calls ageism. The organization says elder abuse and neglect is a growing but underrecognized problem around the world.
