Four Accused of Scam on Seniors (TX. USA)

Four now accused of scam on seniors

By Eva Ruth Moravec

Express-News

San Antonio police believe they now have arrested the right man in a pigeon drop scheme after a guilt-ridden Converse woman confessed they had falsely accused someone else.

Amber Allison, 24, summoned San Antonio detectives to the Guadalupe County Jail after notifying guards she wanted to speak with them.

“She wanted to cooperate with the police because she could not sleep at night from seeing faces of elderly people that she had taken their money,” according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Allison gave detectives information that led to Thursday’s arrest of 33-year-old Roy Wallace of San Antonio.

I'm glad to see that Ms. Allison came to terms with her misdoing, although I find it so hard to comprehend someone's rationale for scamming seniors.
