Final suspect in November elder abuse case

The last man suspected of bilking an 84-year-old woman of $18,000 in November was arrested today, making the fourth arrest in the case, according to Savannah-Chatham police.
Leon Elmore, 51, faces charges of crimes against the elderly, theft by deception and impersonating an officer. He was the fourth man connected to a case where a man walked into two banks with the woman, withdrawing $9,000 from each on Nov. 17, according to Gena Moore, metro police spokeswoman.
Zachary Myers, 45 was arrested on Dec. 2. Zebedee and April Harris Legree, ages 56 and 45, were also arrested in Sumter, S.C., where they already face at least three more cases of fraud. The couple will be extradited to face charges in Chatham County, Moore said.
