A Saugus man was arrested last week for slapping his elderly mother, Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's officials said.
Dana Moore, 46, who lives with his mother on the 23000 block of Ash Glen Circle, was arrested about 5 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of dependent adult abuse, a felony, said Lt. Brenda Cambra.
The victim, 83, was not seriously injured and required no medical attention when deputies arrived, she said.
On Monday afternoon, Moore was being held at the sheriff's station in lieu of $50,000 bail, she said.
