Elder Abuse/Identity Theft Case: Second Arrest (GA. USA)

The Thunderbolt Police Department have arrested Teresa Julie Robbins of Hinesville, GA for Financial Identity Theft and Elder Abuse.

Robbins surrendered herself at the Hinesville Police Department on January 14th and was then transported to the Chatham County Detention Center where she was arraigned.  Bond was set for $7500.  She is the cousin of the co-defendant Tamara Smith.  A preliminary hearing has been set for both defendants in Thunderbolt Municipal Court on January 22nd.

43 victims have been identified to date with at least half being current or former residents of Tara.  Each count which involves a victim over the age of 65 will carry an additional charge of Elder Abuse.  Currently the victims range in age from 60 to 100 years.

Robbins is also being held for the Statesboro Police Department on a warrant for Probation Violation.
